When I was around five I decided to spell my name as Danni. This isn’t unusual since my given name is Danielle, although nobody can tell me where the extra letter came from. It stuck + I still go by Danni, which speaks volumes about some of my personality traits.

I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I have hidden behind a camera for further than I can remember, taking pictures of anything + everything. I have studied a wide range of topics, by trade I am a Funeral Director, which remains a passion to me.
Coming from a creative, heavily 'do-it-yourself' family, I'm primarily self taught. I believe that art has endless forms + it's difficult to put into words what it means to me. My strong willingness to get dirty allows me to play and get the shots I want; whether it's standing in a sparkly clean room, or laying in mud. I love that there is so many options, being able to experiment with shoots + editing. One of many things I really enjoy giving focus to are textures.
Someday I will write + post a full artist statement of some sort.
